Our original winch plate was made from 3\/16\" but we had a couple situations where it was flexing so we changed to 1\/4\" thick steel and gusseted it a lot more to make it extremely rigid. Look at the competition out there using only 3\/16\" and you'll also notice areas of the winch plate without gussets and bends...these are weak points which have caused even Mopar to discontinue their original design. Our Winch Plate is designed using State-of-the-Art 3D modeling with files directly from JEEP, WARN and SUPERWINCH for a precise fit requiring no modification of your jeep to fit most winches.
