Introducing the DRT Fabrication Bolt On Tire Carrier / Swing Out, engineered to dramatically increase your 2016-2023 (3rd Gen) Tacoma’s versatility. Designed with both form and function in mind, this swing-out provides a secure way to mount a spare tire along with essential gear such as a jack, fuel or water cans, rotopax, tools, and more. Every detail has been methodically designed.
Hinge Design
The swing-out hinge uses dual COM16 uniball bearings with aluminum misaligns and O-rings for durability, smooth operation, and resistance to water and debris. This ensures a quiet and long-lasting performance, no more dealing with cheap wheel bearings packed full of grease.
Strong, Secure Mounting
- Each carrier is attached to the bumper with five ⅜” Grade 8 bolts
- 100% bolt-on installation – no welding required
- Can be added to your DRT HC Rear Bumper at a later date
- Includes laser-cut templates for a straightforward install
Wedge-Style Latch System
- Uses CNC-machined black UHMW wedge pads to reduce wear and noise
- Comes standard with a lockable billet e3 Machine compression latch (black/raw combo)
Adjustable Spare Tire Mount
- Bolt-on mount included
- Angled for improved ground clearance
- Adjustable to fit a range of tire widths and wheel offsets (0 to -36 offset)
- Designed around a 35” tire (as shown in photos)
Built-In Fold-Down Table
When opened, the swing-out reveals a massive CNC bead-rolled aluminum table. Perfect for cooking, organizing tools, or staging gear on the trail.
Billet Pull Pin with Multiple Positions
- Pull pin includes 2 locking positions: 90°, and 130° open
- Stainless steel slide plate prevents powder coat wear during repeated use
