This front axle swap kit is built specifically for Ford Dana 60 axles found in 1977 and older trucks. Just like our Rear Axle Simple Swap Kits, it’s all about giving you exactly what you need — no extra fluff, no guesswork. There are a few key differences for the front: you’ll need three U-bolts of one size and a fourth that’s a bit wider (4 1/8"). The factory cast-in perch has its own bolt pattern, so we include a matching U-bolt plate for that side, and a standard one for the tube side. You’ll also get a single spring perch since only one is needed. For better ride quality and clearance, we throw in our curved shock brackets so you can ride up the C more easily.

If you’re running the wider 3" Ford springs, no problem — just give us a call and we’ll swap out the perch and plates to match. This is a straightforward, trail-tested solution for anyone doing a front swap in their garage, without the hassle of piecing it together themselves.

Note

Welding required. You may also want to grab a Dana 60 differential cover and a pair of 1/2" x 3" shock bracket bolts during installation. These are often overlooked but make a big difference in a solid, long-lasting setup.
